Product Designer / Ergonomist - M/F

Everteam is a French software editor belonging to the Kyocera group and leader in information governance and document management solutions. We are looking for a Product Designer who is passionate about finding ergonomic solutions that allow our B2B customers to use our products intuitively. 

You will work with our UI research and development team, act as a cross-functional team member in conjunction with other teams (Product Management, Quality Assurance, Back-End Development Teams,…) and rely heavily on qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions.

The position is based at our headquarters in Lyon 4th and requires a first professional experience of at least 2 years.

Mission

Working with multiple teams as well as being in contact with our clients, you will transform your ideas into compelling products in a creative environment that requires proactive, communication skills as well as the ability to execute a creative vision.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze how a new feature meets market needs and end-user preferences.
  • Gather and define ergonomic requirements based on feedback from internal teams and your user research.
  • Identify new opportunities to improve our products.
  • Stay up to date on current trends in the software industry.
  • Coordinate implementation with other members of the development team while ensuring consistent and accurate communication. UI development skills are a plus.
  • Modify and revise existing designs to meet the changing preferences of our clients.
  • Work closely with software engineers (Back and Front-end) to suggest improvements to products and processes.
  • Present ideas for the evolution of the ergonomics of our products to the teams and to management.

Profile 

  • Experience in all phases of the design process, from end-user research, formalization, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design to usability testing. 
  • Angular development skills would be a plus
  • Empathy to interpret customer needs beyond the obvious
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work with different multidisciplinary teams (Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineers, Quality Assurance,…)
  • Ability to collect and interpret qualitative and quantitative feedback
  • Ability to work with B2B clients of all sizes (small, medium and large accounts) and demonstrate a solid understanding of end-user objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuade around concepts related to software ergonomics
  • Passion for design; dissatisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Dynamic and creative personality, effective in engaging and influencing a variety of audiences
  • Recommend new tools and technologies by keeping abreast of the latest trends and techniques
